Recently I mentioned that you could take your shower cap and soak it in a mixture of water and white vinegar to make it smell nice – and remove any mold formed by being wet all the time.
Yesterday I found another wonderful tip about using white vinegar.
My dryer was started to smell a little – perhaps the lint was damp or I didn’t dry the last load of clothes enough.
Anyway – the tip I found was to use white vinegar in a spray bottle – dampen some towels and put them in the dryer for a cycle. Boy what a difference. The dryer now smells very clean. And all I did with the towels was to add them to a load that I was going to wash anyway – towels and dishcloths from the kitchen.
Any white vinegar will do – even the cheap one from Wal-Mart.
And no – I don’t have a book about house keeping tips – tho you can find them advertised every where. If I want to find out how to solve a problem – I research the internet – it’s so much easier.
